Hi! I’m Saskia.
I’m an illustrator and game artist focused on interactive storytelling and children’s books. My work lives where traditional warmth meets digital play.
During my Bachelor’s studies, a simple book idea evolved into my first Point & Click Adventure, When The Seamaids Sing. Seeing my characters breathe and react in a game engine for the first time? I was hooked.
I use everything from traditionally rooted drawing and painting to pixel art to hand-painted 3D to create immersive, interactive experiences. I’m driven by the joy of turning a static idea into a world you can actually step inside.

Interactive
Storytelling

Expressive Game Art, Pixel Art, and animations. I build worlds in Godot, focusing on how visual storytelling translates into meaningful gameplay.
Heartfelt
Illustration

Capturing the warmth of traditional media in every stroke. I create children’s book illustrations, covers, and album art using a mix of traditional techniques and digital painting to maintain a soulful, hand-made aesthetic.
3D
& Animation

I build and texture assets in Blender and Substance Painter, treating 3D surfaces like a digital canvas. I animate using 2D frame-by-frame or keyframe movement in After Effects and Blender.
Current Focus (The Master’s & the Grandma)
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Interactive Illustration and Games. My main project is a game for the iPad focusing on developmental psychology and social learning for 3- to 4-year-olds—aiming to create meaningful content in a sea of “noise.”
My current “training ground” for Godot is “Meine Oma fährt im Hühnerstall Motorrad.” It’s a chaotic pixel-art game based on a silly German kids’ song, where I’m deepening my grasp of gameplay logic, animation, and GDScript.

The Vision & Future
I’m looking for a permanent position in a game studio (Hamburg or Remote) where I can bring my hybrid skills in 2D/3D art, dev, and animation to a creative team. I’m excited to collaborate with other artists and indie devs to build something meaningful together.
Alongside my passion for game development, I continue to hold a special place in my heart for children’s books. I am always open to freelance projects—specifically book covers, album art, or animation. If you value the warmth of traditional media and hand-painted textures, let’s talk!
Let’s create something meaningful!
